The One Charity a Month Foundation is an organization founded on a simple principle, that many people donating a small amount of money can have as much, if not a bigger, impact than a few people donating a large sum of money.

We know how many people feel donating to a charity is important, but just don't have a lot of income to give. We make it easy, and make everyone's donation, no matter how small, add up to something very big..

Each month, we'll take the amount of money collected and donate it to a specific charity. One dollar. One Month. With your help, we make change with your change.

Our mission is to help those who help others. It is a foundation founded on the principle of many people with one voice, helping those organizations who help others in need. It is based on the idea that there are too many of us who want to help, but feel that a small donation just isn't enough.

There isn't one specific charity, or group of charities, who will receive the donations. Each month we'll discuss and choose a charity we feel is truly helping others. Some charities may be larger and nationally based, others smaller and locally based. We'd like to see as many people benefit from our donations as possible.

Choosing a charity is not (most of the time) a simple decision. We'll take things into account such as the size of the organization and their impact on the community. At this time, we're open to any suggestions you may have.

We'll take whatever is collected on a monthly basis, and donate that money to the organization we've chosen as that month's recipient.

Yes, you should. Every month, we'll be helping folks who many of us will never know. But that's what charity is about — helping those in need, regardless of whether they're friends, family or total strangers.

Donating is simple — simply click the Donate link, and you'll be able to make your donation via Paypal. The transaction is secure, so there's nothing to worry about. All the money is collected, and each month, withdrawn from an account, donated to the chosen organization.

If you'd like to make a donation to the OCAM Foundation, to help pay for the site and keep things running, well, that's very nice of you. There's a link on the 'Donate' page to do that, too.

The only expenses we need to account for are the fees charged by the online vendors (i.e., PayPal). Whatever is left over after the fees goes to the charity, no question.

The idea of the OCAM Foundation isn't to donate half of what we collect. Or to take half of your money. Just like the reason you donate isn't to see half your money go into someone else's bank account. We'll give 100% of the proceeds, minus expenses, to the charitable organization.

Each month, we'll post the amount collected on the home page, so you can see just where your money is going.

Absolutely. We're a registered non-profit organization. We've filed all the paperwork, so when the end of the year rolls around, you can use the emailed receipt you received when you donated as proof you gave to a charitable organization.

Yes. When you donate online via PayPal, you'll receive an email, which will serve as your receipt.
